The second Sino British science and technology

On December 26th, 2018, the "Hard Technology" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of Sino-British Science and Technology Exchange will be held in Zhengzhou High-tech Zone Financial Plaza. The event was jointly sponsored by the High-tech Zone Management Committee and China-UK Science and Technology Innovation Platform. It is understood that the "Hard Science and Technology" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition aims to promote the exchanges between China and Britain in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, build a bridge for excellent enterprises in Henan Province to introduce overseas technology and acquire overseas projects, introduce excellent overseas innovation projects and innovative talents for Henan Province, and promote the development of scientific and technological innovation in Henan Province.

What is hard technology? According to the inquiry, hard technology is a high-tech represented by artificial intelligence, genetic technology, aerospace, new materials, etc. It is a high-tech with long-term R&D investment accumulation, which has a very high threshold and is difficult to be copied and imitated.

At present, Zheng Luoxin National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone has become an important and beautiful business card for Henan's development, with the ability to undertake the transfer and transformation of larger-scale and higher-level industries and technologies. Zheng Luoxin's self-created area is vigorously implementing the innovation-oriented industrial cluster project, and the demand for industrial innovation is strong. The guiding units of this activity include the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the UK and the UK branch of the Excellent Self-Award Association. The project teams come from famous British universities such as Oxford University and Cambridge University, and the technology applications cover many fields such as energy conservation and environmental protection, biopharmaceuticals, aerospace, artificial intelligence, new materials and so on.

Seven projects are full of scientific and technological content, and the new material project of air pollution control of the University of Liverpool team has been approved by American patents and supported by the start-up fund of the British Engineering and Natural Science Research Council (EPSRC).

At present, the research and development of "hard technology" has been strongly supported by the government. Some experts in the industry pointed out that the trinity of R&D, production and application will form a "hard science and technology industry ecosystem". Now there is a consensus in the investment community that it is necessary to invest in technology, especially hard technology. In the next decade, there will be two key words in science and technology investment: hard science and technology and globalization. With the globalization of China's "hard technology" and the development of foreign technology enterprises using the Chinese market, there will be huge investment opportunities.
